Detachment Paymaster to Run the Marine Corps Marathon

Detachment member and Paymaster Kevin Fischer will be running in this years Marine Corps Marathon. His effforts will support  MARSOC Foundation.

The MARSOC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel and their families, as well as the families of Marines who have lost their lives in service to our Nation.  I'm sure a lot of you might be wondering right now what is MARSOC?  MARSOC is an acronym for United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. Their mission is is to recruit, train, sustain, and deploy scalable, expeditionary forces worldwide to accomplish special operations missions assigned by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). To accomplish that, MARSOC equips and trains Marines to succeed in austere conditions against a wide range of adversaries. MARSOC executes complex, distributed operations in uncertain environments, achieving silent success and strategic impact.  Basically they are the Marines version of SEALS.

Marine Fischer is looking to raise $5000 for the MARSOC foundation.  You can support his efforts by making a donation at http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/KevinWFischer/2015-marine-corps-marathon-charity-partner-team
