Proposed Detachment Bylaws and Administrative Procedures Revisions

Commandant Mazzone set forth a goal of revising our outdated Detachment Bylaws and replacing our missing Administrative Procedures. The Executive Board and the Judge Advocate with the Bylaws Committee have work tirelessly to review and revise our Bylaws. Judge Advocate McFadden and the Bylaws Committee have completed a proposed draft of our Detachment Bylaws.  A copy is attached for your review.  This draft and our present Bylaws can also be downloaded from the Detachment web site at http://goo.gl/Vf3i47.

Pursuant to  Article XII of our current Bylaws the proposed Bylaws will be read at the next two (2) regular Detachment meetings.  The proposed Bylaws will be presented at the third (3) regular Detachment meeting for a vote of the membership present.  Adoption of the new Bylaws requires 2/3 vote cast of the regular Detachment members present and voting.   Upon acceptance by the membership, the Bylaws will be sent to the Department of New York Judge Advocate for review/approval. Once approved by the Department, the Bylaws will be adopted by the Detachment.

Detachment meetings are held the First Wednesdays of each month at the American Legion Post 135, in White Plains, New York.  Muster is at 19:00 (7:00 PM), the Meeting starts at 19:30 (7:30 PM).
